Interprovincial

Pleaser refer to the above section for examples of the "academic" courses you'll see referred to below.

British Columbia (and Yukon)
  • Students must have a Dogwood Diploma (Yukon Secondary School Graduation Certificate) with a minimum of 4 academic grade 12 courses, including English 12 with a minimum average of 60% overall.
Alberta
  • Students must graduate with an Alberta High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 academic grade 12 courses.
  • One of the 4 classes must be English 30-1.
  • "Academic" courses are defined by their "30-1" designation (e.g. Mathematics 30-1, Social Studies 30-1, etc.).
  • Courses designated 30-2 or 30-3 are not accepted as "academic" except under special or unique circumstances.
  • The 4 grade 12 classes must be completed with a minimum average of 60% overall.

 

Saskatchewan
  • Students must have a Transcript of Secondary Level Achievement with a minimum of 4 academic grade 12 courses, including English A30 and English B30 with a minimum average of 60% overall.

 

Manitoba
  • Students must have a High School Statement of Marks with a minimum of 4 academic grade 12 courses, including English 40S with a minimum average of 60% overall.

 

Ontario
  • Students must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with a minimum of 4 academic grade 12 courses at the U or M level, including ENG4U or ENG4C with a minimum average of 60% overall.

 

Quebec
  • Students must have a Secondary School Diploma and at least one year of CEGEP completed with a minimum average of 60% from CEGEP.
  • Students who have completed a two-year CEGEP program may be eligible for transfer credit.

 

New Brunswick
  • Students must have a High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 academic grade 12 courses, including English 12 with a minimum average of 60% overall.

 

Nova Scotia
  • Students must have a High School Graduation Diploma with a minimum of 4 academic grade 12 courses, including English 12 with a minimum average of 60% overall.

 

Newfoundland/Labrador
  • Students must have a High School Graduation Certificate with a minimum of 4 academic grade 12 courses, including English 12 with a minimum average of 60% overall.

 

Prince Edward Island
  • Students must have a High School Graduation Certificate with a minimum of 4 academic grade 12 courses, including English 12 with a minimum average of 60% overall.

 

Northwest Territories
  • Students must have a Senior Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a minimum of 4 academic grade 12 courses, including English 12 with a minimum average of 60% overall.
