In dance, one gains wisdom through constant physical questioning and practice. No one ever arrives at a place of β€˜all knowing,’ for that indicates a finality that one can no longer go beyond.

Teaching Philosophy

As a dancer, choreographer, and educator, Tara teaches with energy, investment, and integrity, creating an environment that promotes discovery and/or growth through dance. Everything is an opportunity to learn. As a dance artist, Tara has the opportunity to consciously engage in this learning process along with her students.

Background

Tara completed most of her training in Moose Jaw at Doris Sitter's School of Dance. She has over 25 years of dancing and teaching behind her. Tara has studied ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary dance, to name a few. Tara holds a Certificate of Merit from the Royal Academy of Dance in Toronto, and an Associate Certificate with the Canadian Dance Teachers' Association. Her recent work includes choreography on "The Lion King Jr.", "Anne of Green Gables", and Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!".
