Briercrest Music Festival
Join us at Briercrest College May 27-28, 2026 for a two-day music festival, including a mini-masterclass for each group from a Briercrest professor!
Our music festival is a two-day adjudicated experience designed to inspire and develop young musicians. Bands perform on one day and choirs on the next. Each group receives dedicated performance time, expert adjudication from college faculty, and a live masterclass after their performance.
All events are hosted in our on-campus chapel, creating a professional and inspiring atmosphere. Each day concludes with awards. Bands enjoy a worship night led by Briercrest students and alumni. Choirs take part in a showcase where select pieces are shared, and all choirs unite in a final massed song. It is a meaningful festival that blends musical excellence, growth, and community.

May 27, 2026: Band Day
Each band will perform 6-8 minutes of repertoire. This will be followed by a mini masterclass led by one of our music professors. Jazz bands can also register.
Ron De Jager will offer mini voice lessons on a first-come, first-served basis. Check back for sign-up details!
This day will end with a worship night hosted by Briercrest students and alumni!
May 28, 2026: Choir Day
Each choir will perform 6-8 minutes of repertoire. This will be followed by a mini masterclass led by one of our music professors. This day will end with a showcase concert where each choir can perform for its peers AND perform a collaborative piece (music will be sent out ahead of time).
Chris Kayler will offer mini-lessons for instrumentalists on a first-come, first-served basis. Check back for sign-up details!
