What Counts as a Disability?

Briercrest uses the Saskatchewan Human Rights Code as the basis for defining a disability. We particularly consider those which impact learning and educational experience.

What Financial Resources Can I Access?

ACAD 100 Academic Strategies and Communication

College is a different experience from high school. You’re in the classroom less, work on less assignments that are each much bigger, and are making big steps in your independence. And in all of that you have to manage your own schedule, complete your schoolwork on time, and balance your health, spiritual life, and social life.

ACAD 100 - Preparing to Succeed

In ACAD 100 we introduce you to all the strategies and tools you need to write great papers, take more out of your lectures, keep everything balanced, and everything else you need to measure and achieve success in post-secondary education.

All of this also earns you a 3-credit hour elective to take you one step closer to graduation.

We recommend ACAD 100 to all students starting their 1st or 2nd year, no matter how prepared you feel for college. Talk to your academic advisor about adding ACAD 100 today!

Writing Centre

The Writing Centre at Briercrest offers free writing support to all students, both undergraduate and graduate, across various disciplines and skill levels. Staffed by a team of trained tutors who prioritize student needs, it provides one-on-one consultations throughout the writing process in an informal setting. The centre is located in the Archibald Library, and its hours vary each semester, so students should check for updates around the school.
